Australia Post International Service Updates



Recently, Australia Post launched a new, simplified range of international delivery services.

New International Products and Services

Customers will have now access to the following international services via Neto:

International Courier:

  • 1-2-business days* delivery to selected
    destinations
  • Tracked service
  • Available for Letters and Parcels
  • Only available at selected metropolitan
    outlets within the International Courier
    network ^
  • Replaces the ECI Platinum service

International Express:

  • 2-4 business days* delivery
  • Tracked service
  • Available for Letters and Parcels
  • Replaces the Express Courier
    International service
    International Standard:
  • 6+ business days* delivery
  • Tracked service
  • Available for Parcels only
  • Replaces the Pack and Track and
    Express Post International services

International Standard:

  • 6+ business days* delivery
  • Tracked service
  • Available for Parcels only
  • Replaces the Pack and Track and
    Express Post International services

International Economy:

  • 10+ business days* delivery
  • Untracked service
  • Letters – Airmail
  • Parcels – Airmail and Sea Mail
  • Registered Post International prepaid
    envelopes will be retained
  • Replaces the current Airmail and Sea Mail services

*Estimated delivery time between metro areas of major cities. Excludes any time in customs and delays due to reasons outside of Australia Post’s control. Country specific delivery times will be available online at auspost.com.au from 18 April 2016.

New International Addons

Customers will have access to the following included and add-on features via Neto:

Signature on Delivery++:

  • Provide proof of delivery by ensuring a
    signature of the delivery is captured.
  • Included with Express.
  • Available as an optional feature for
    Standard and Economy.

Extra Cover^^:

  • Provide cover for loss, damage or theft of
    International articles.
  • Extra Cover limits vary by country and
    service.
  • Available as an optional feature for most
    international services.

Tracking (including Email track advice):

  • Full tracking via auspost.com.au/track.
  • Email track advice is available if email
    address is provided by the sender.
  • Sender will generally receive three
    emails:
    1. When the item is lodged
    2. When the item arrives at the
      destination country
    3. When the item is delivered
  • Included with Courier, Express and
    Standard.

SMS track advice:

  • SMS track advice is only available to
    Australian mobile phone numbers.
  • Sender will generally receive three SMS
    messages:
    1. When the item is lodged
    2. When the item arrives at the
      destination country
    3. When the item is delivered
  • Included with Courier and Express.
  • Available as an optional feature for
    Standard.

Updating your International Services

The table below will help you to determine what product you may want as an equivalent to the old existing pricing.

Once you have decided on the new services, you will need to update them in your Neto Control Panel.

Updating Service and Rates for Web Store

Neto 5.97

  1. From the Neto Dashboard, select Shipping > Service and Rates.
  2. Locate the relevant Service and Rates table and click it.
  3. Under Service Name select the new service you would like to use.

Neto 6+

  1. From the Neto Dashboard, select Settings & tools > All Settings & tools.
  2. Locate and select Shipping Service and Rates.
  3. Locate the relevant Service and Rates table and click it.
  4. Under Service Name select the new service you would like to use.

Service and Rates for eBay

Neto 5.97

Site Manager Update

  1. From the Neto Dashboard, select eBay > Site Manager.
  2. Select the Sites you would like updated, ensure * Download Latest eBay Site Data* is ticked and click Download.

Wait for the Process to run and complete.

Listing Rules Templates

  1. From the Neto Dashboard, select eBay > Listing Rules Templates > View All
  2. Open the relevant Listing Rules Template.
  3. Select the Shipping Tab.
  4. Scroll to the International to view the new rates downloaded directly from eBay

If the new rates do not reflect the rates you would like to use, you will need to speak directly to eBay to have these updated as we do not have any control over these.

Neto 6+

Site Manager Update

  1. From the Neto Dashboard, select eBay > Setup & tools.
  2. Locate and select Site Manager.
  3. Select the Sites you would like updated, ensure Download Latest eBay Site Data is ticked and click Download.

Wait for the Process to run and complete.

Listing Rules Templates

  1. From the Neto Dashboard, select eBay > Listing Rules Templates.
  2. Open the relevant Listing Rules Template.
  3. Select the Shipping Tab.
  4. Scroll to the International to view the new rates downloaded directly from eBay

If the new rates do not reflect the rates you would like to use, you will need to speak directly to eBay to have these updated as we do not have any control over these.
