Can I add a tracking or consignment number to a dispatched order?



The consignment number is the same as the tracking number.  

If you are a small business and do not want to use the shipping matrix or shipping module in Neto, you can store the tracking number in any one of the available custom order fields or in the internal order notes.

If you want the consignment number to be added to the the order, recorded on a manifest and emailed to the customer, add it as a manually added consignment.

 

To add to internal notes

  1. Go to Orders > Dispatched and filter by order number.
  2. Open the dispatched order
  3. Scroll down to the System Internal Notes field.
  4. Add the tracking details
  5. Click on Save Changes.

To add to custom order fields

  1. Go to Orders > Dispatched then filter by order number
  2. Open the dispatched order
  3. Scroll down to the custom order fields
  4. Add the tracking details into one of the custom fields.
  5. Click on Save Changes.

You can rename your custom order fields by going to Admin > Customisable Fields > Order Fields. For example you can rename a custom field to Tracking Number.

 

To add a manual consignment number

  1. Go to Orders > Dispatched then filter by order number.
  2. Open the dispatched order
  3. Scroll down to the consignment section and click Manually Add Shipping Consignment.
  4. Select a Shipping Service from the drop down menu.
    • To be charged for the consignment by an integrated carrier, add it to an integrated carrier manifest by selecting the integrated service from the drop down menu.
    • If you do not want to be charged for the consignment and just want to keep a record of the tracking number, select a “generic” service from the drop down menu. Selecting a generic service will record the consignment number on a generic manifest. You also have the option of emailing the tracking details to your customer.
  5. Add the tracking number and article details as required

  1. If you do not want the dispatch details to be emailed to the customer, check Do not email dispatch notification & invoice to customer.
