Neto supports importing passwords to customer cards via the Import System. If you are able to export passwords from your existing platform, you can use this method to apply those password to the correct customer cards in Neto.
Start by preparing your Spreadsheet import using the following mandatory fields:
|Field Name||Field Type||Field Description||Field Restrictions||Example Input|
|Username*||Text String||The username of the customer. This is the unique identifier of the customer and is a required field for all customer imports.||Max Length: 25||ABC123|
|Password||Text String||The customers password. Used to login to a customer’s account.||lkdshj763!|
From the Neto Dashboard, select Setup & tools > Import Data.
Select Perform simple import and upload your Customer Spreadsheet.
If you have transferred across to Neto from another platform and could not export your customer passwords from your previous solution, you can:
Import temporary passwords for each customer using the above instructrions and then e-mail these passwords to your customers using Neto M@il or another e-mail marketing platform.
Email your customers using Neto M@il or another platform about the fact that you have changed website provider and that their passwords could not be migrated for security reasons. You can then point them to the link http://www.mydomain.com.au/_myacct/forgotpwd (replace www.mydomain.com.au with your domain) on your new website to have the system email them a new password automatically.
Add a note to the login screen on your new website with a link to http://www.mydomain.com.au/_myacct/forgotpwd (replace www.mydomain.com.au with your domain), notifying existing customers that they will need to reset their passwords to login to their accounts. They can reset their passwords using this link.
