Create a custom links menu on your control panel

In Neto version 6.x you can add commonly used control panel pages (or even pages from the front end of you site) to a custom link section in the left-hand menu.

  1. To add a link to the menu, go to Setup & tools > All Settings & tools.

  2. Click on Custom Control Panel Links in the Control Panel section.

  3. Click on the Add new Menu Item button.

  4. A new grey bar will appear. Click on the cog icon in the bar to edit the Menu Item.

  5. Enter the name of the new menu option under Item Name. This will be the name that appears in the menu.

  6. Under Select URL for menu item select:

    • Link to a URL - to enter a web address for an external website. Paste the web address in the field below. This can be a web address of a page in your control panel.
    • Link to an existing product - link to product page. Enter the product’s SKU in the field below.
    • Link to an existing stockist - links to a stockist or store location. Select store from the drop down list below.
    • Blog Post, Brand, Buying Guide, Form, Information Page or Product Category - links to a page with that content type. Select page from the drop down menu below.

  7. Click on Accept to save the option settings.

  8. To change the order of the menu options, click and drag the menu option up or down. Let go of the mouse button when it’s in the correct position. To create a sub-menu option, drag the option to the right so it is indented.

  9. To add a sub-menu option, click on the + icon.

  10. To remove a menu option, click on the x icon.

  11. Click on the Save button.

  12. Refresh the page to see the new Custom Links menu you have just created.
