How do I add a shipping consignment and dispatch an order?

You can add shipping consignments for an order when it is in Pack or Dispatched status.

  1. Go to Orders > Pack
  2. Click on order ID to open the order
  3. Scroll down to the Shipping Consignments section.

Shipping Consignments section

  1. Here you can choose to Auto Generate Shipping Consignment or Manually Add Shipping Consignment. An auto generated shipping consignment will use your pre-defined settings to auto generate a consignment based on the products ordered and the shipping method selected by the customer. Manually added consignments give you the freedom to manually define the shipping method used.
  2. After adding a consignment you can add or edit the shipping articles under that consignment. This includes editing the dimensions and weight of each article. Each article will generate a label.

  1. You can change the selected shipping method for a consignment from the drop down list at the top left of the consignment.

  1. Click Create Consignments & Dispatch to generate consignment labels and mark the order as dispatched or click Save Changes to create consignments without changing the order status.

You can bulk pick and pack orders in Neto. This is the most efficient way to process orders. We suggest moving all orders ready to send to the Pick status and then batch processing from there. The system can automatically move orders to Pick that are ready to the sent (based on a set of rules).

Bulk Pick vs. Bulk Pack

Bulk Pick:

Bulk picking is only used where you do a staged process of picking and then packing (usually with different staff members picking and packing). During a bulk “pick” you can print pick slips, print consolidated pick slips, back-order lines and move orders to the “pack” status”.

Bulk Pack:

Bulk packing is the most popular bulk process. In addition to everything you can do in a bulk pick process, you can also create shipping consignments and move orders to the “dispatched” status. The only action that cannot be performed as part of a bulk pack process is back-ordering as all items are already presumed “picked” during this bulk process.

  1. Go to Orders > View All Orders
  2. Select the orders you want to dispatch from the list of orders (you can filter the list using the filters at the top of the order list)
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
  4. Click Bulk Create Consignments & Dispatch
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to bulk create consignments and dispatch your orders.

Bulk Pack Job

A bulk process number will be created for each bulk process. In the event of a power outage, a computer shut down or a time out during a bulk process, you can re-access your bulk process by going to: Orders > Active Bulk Processes.

A list of your active, incomplete processes will then be displayed. Select the process to continue.

Multi-user support

Order processes, including bulk processes are locked to users. Therefore two users cannot work on the same order at a time.
