In this guide we will focus on running two types of shipping discounts. Firstly, you can implement a discount or free shipping cost permanently using your shipping methods. Alternatively, you can run a temporary discount or free shipping cost using a discount coupon in the webstore.
Be sure to check out our other support documents for more handy tips on setting up different types of discounts.
From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Setup & Tools > Shipping.
Select the shipping method you wish to edit.
Enter “Free” in the first field if you would like the shipping to be free otherwise specify a shipping charge.
Enter the order subtotal amount that you would like to have reached in the second field. If you would like to stop offering this promotion leave this field blank.
Save changes. You will need to repeat this for other shipping methods if you want it to apply for all methods.
Note: The system will automatically override your shipping rates matrix and offer free shipping when the order subtotal equals the dollar amount you have specified.
From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Marketing > Discounts/Coupons
Click the Add New discount button from the top right hand.
Fill out the discount details. Set the discount type to Public or Private. Private means the user has to be logged into the system to use, public means guests can use this discount. If you only want customers to use the discount once, you will need to set the discount to private.
Click the Discount Requirements / Trigger tab. Add Product Subtotal from the dropdown and press the Add Discount Trigger button. Add the Spend Requirement in the available field and press Save Changes.
Click the Discount Events (What’s On Offer) tab. Add Order or Shipping Discount from the dropdown and press the Add Discount Event button. Under Discount Percent, add 100%. If you’d like to add a maximum discount $ amount for shipping (for example, when you send bulky items) add this under Max Amount. Press Save Changes.
And you’re done. Now test your discount by creating a dummy order (ensure to add your postcode in so shipping is calculated) then apply your discount. Here’s how it should look.
