How do I pick and pack orders with Neto mobile Pick'nPack?



Note: These instructions are for mobile picking. For desktop picking please see the orders section of the support desk.

Logging in

 

You can login to mobile Pick’n Pack by opening the app on your mobile device and entering the user credentials you have setup in the “staff user manager” section of your desktop control panel

There can only be one active session per user account. If two users login with the same account, the most recently logged in user will become the activeuser and the older session will be logged out.

 

The Home Page

 

 

On the home page you will find a list of links to various pages within the app:

 

  • Pick Orders
    Orders that are ready to be picked

  • Pack Orders
    Orders that are ready to be packed and shipped

  • Search Orders
    Global search form to search orders

  • Logout
    Logout of account

 

Picking Orders

 

To pick an order drill into the “Pick Orders” section. From here you can drill into individual orders to pick them.

 

Order List Page

 

You can filter your orders on the order list page using the filter options at the top of the page.


Filter Options

 

  • Pick by Zone
    Orders are filtered by picking zone. You can assign users to picking zones so that orders in their zone appear first automatically. You can do this from within the “staff user manager” section of your desktop control panel

  • Pick by Shipping Method
    Orders are filtered by shipping option. You can select from a list of available options.

  • Search Orders
    You can search for specific orders by customer name, order number or purchase order number.

 

Selecting an Order to Pick

 

To start picking an order touch the related order line.



 

Pick Order Page

 

The pick order page displays a list of items that need to be picked. The qty ordered is shown in the black “Qty” column, the qty left to pick is shown in the green “Pick” column.


How to “Scan” Pick Order Lines

 

If you are using Pick’n Pack hardware you can scan pick your order lines by simply scanning product barcodes.

 

  • Point the scanner toward the barcode of the product you are picking and touch the scan button on the top right of the scanner.

  • A red laser will then read the barcode.

  • If the barcode scan is successful you will hear a success tone. The order line will disappear or in the case of a qty greater than 1 on order, the qty picked will increase by 1 and will disappear when the qty required is met.

  • If the barcode scan is unsuccessful (incorrect barcode) you will hear an error message and error tone.

 

How to “Touch” Pick an Order Line

 

You can mark an order line as “picked” by touching the green pick button on the order line. When picked, the line will automatically disappear.


You can partially pick an order line by touching on the black qty button. This will display an option to input the qty picked.



How to “Backorder” an Order Line

 

Click on the “BKO” button at the top of the qty to pick column. Any line that you “touch” pick now will be placed on Backorder.

How to Complete Your Pick

 

Once you have completed picking all order lines a “complete” popup will appear. You can then do one of 3 things:

 

  1. Scan the bin / pallet you have picked the order to and save your changes (ideal if you have separate pickers and packers in your warehouse - for high volume operations)

  2. Pack Order  (to dispatch order immediately  - system will automatically generate shipping labels when this button is touched)

  3. Hold Order (system will put the order to the “hold” status when this button is touched)



 

Packing Orders

 

To pack an order drill into the “Pack Orders” section. From here you can drill into individual orders to pack them.

 

Order List Page


You can filter your orders on the order list page using the filter options at the top of the page.


Filter Options

 

  • Pack By Order
    Lists all order by last picked

  • Pack By Bin Location
    Gives you the option to scan you pick bin barcode to locate the order to pack

  • Pack By Shipping Method
    Gives you the ability to select orders to pack by shipping option

  • Search Orders
    You can search for specific orders by customer name, order number or purchase order number.

 

Pack Order Page

 

The pack order page displays a list of items that need to be packed for an order. The qty ordered is shown in the black “Qty” column, the qty left to pack / ship shown in the green “Ship” column.

 

Creating shipping labels / consignments for items automatically marks them as shipped / dispatched.


Creating Shipping Labels / Consignments

 

Automatic consignments

 

To have the system automatically generate a shipping label based on the shipping matrix setup touch “automated consignment”. If you are coming directly from picking an order, the system will automatically do this step for you.




 

Once created you can edit the automatic label or add additional articles. To create a label for a different method or carrier “close” the popup and touch “Custom Consignment”.

 

Manual consignments

To create a shipping label / consignment manually touch “Custom Consignment”. You can then select the carrier you want to create a label for and define the consignment details.


Printing Shipping Labels

 

To print a shipping label click on the “Print Shipping Labels” button after you have saved and generated the label. You can then select the print to print to. You can also touch the “Print Documents” button at the bottom of the page at any time to print shipping consignments and invoices.


Assigning Staff Members to Picking Zones

 

If you assign staff members to picking zones then you can have orders automatically assigned to them for picking first. This can greatly improve warehouse efficiency.

 

To assign a staff member to a picking zone:

 

  1. Go to your desktop control panel

  2. Admin > Staff User Manager > View All Users

  3. Drill into the user you want to add zones to

  4. Click on the “Picking Zones” tab

  5. Click “add” to add new zones

  6. Select from a pre-existing zone or add a new zone in the text input provided

  7. Save your changes


How are picking zones added to products?

 

You can add a picking zones to a product under the “warehouse” tab on a product edit page. Enter the name of the zone in the picking zone field.

 

Alternatively you can import a list of your SKUs and related warehouse zones to a product using the import system (Data Import / Export > Import Wizard).

 

Adding Barcodes to Products

 

To add barcodes to your products:

 

  1. Go to your desktop control panel

  2. Products > View All Products

  3. Drill into the product you want to add a barcode to

  4. Click on the warehouse tab

  5. Enter your barcode(s) in the UPC / Barcode fields

  6. Save

 

Alternatively you can import a list of your SKUs and related barcodes to a product using the import system (Data Import / Export > Import Wizard).

 

The system will search all 4 of the available barcode fields for each product.

 

If you do not enter a barcode the system will use the product SKU and create a CODE 128 barcode. Therefore you do not need to make up barcodes for products, you can just use their existing SKU.

 

How To Print Product Barcodes in Bulk

 

  1. Go to your desktop control panel

  2. Products > View All Products

  3. Select the products you want to print barcodes for

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page

  5. Click on the “Print Barcode for Selected” button
