Types of gateways explained

Onsite gateways are simply where the customer does not leave the checkout to process payments. Hosted gateways will temporarily leave the checkout to an external webpage hosted by the gateway provider to capture/process credit card payments before reverting back to the checkout to finalise the sale.

Triggered Payments

Triggered payments allow for the storage of credit card payments for recurring payments. This is useful if you plan to offer layby or you have regular customers that use your webstore.
