Afterpay Setup

This article is for customers that created a Neto account after 26 August 2016 on v6.4 or newer.

Afterpay offers simple, flexible installment plans for online shoppers. Customers can choose how and when they pay for an order. Afterpay is a payment method that you can offer to your customers. For more details, check out the Afterpay's website for Merchants guide.

Important Note: For our legacy customers that created a Neto account before 26 August 2016, please see our legacy documents for installation instructions.

  1. From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Setup & Tools > Payment Methods.

  2. Scroll down to Afterpay and click the Complete Setup or Configure button.

  3. A popup will ask you to create a new account or add your existing credentials.

  4. If you plan to create a new acccount, it must go through an approval process. Upon acceptance to the Afterpay program, they will send you the Merchant ID and Afterpay Secret (or key) by email.

  5. Once you have this information, navigate back to Setup & Tools > Payment Methods.

  6. Scroll down to Afterpay and click the Configure button.

  7. Under configuration, change the environment to Live and enter your Merchant ID and Afterpay Secret.

  8. Set your type and your Min and Max Spend as per your agreement with Afterpay (this option will not appear in checkout if minimum is not reached or if this exceeds the max spend). Please note Afterpay does not allow it’s merchants to charge a surcharge for it’s service.

  9. Click Save.
