How do I add a free product when a customer buys another product?

This article requires the Freebies addon from the Neto addon store.

You can automatically add a free product to the customer’s shopping cart when they select a product. This can be done two ways:

  1. Using the Freebies feature which this article covers or
  2. Using the Discounts & Coupons feature.

Freebies has the benefit of displaying the free product(s) the customer will choose from when viewing the product details.

  1. To add free products to a product from the Neto dashboard, navigate to Products > View Products

  2. Edit the product you wish to make changes to.

  3. Scroll down to the Freebies section.

  4. Click on the field under Add Related Product and enter either the product SKU or part of the product name. A list of the products that match what you have entered.

  5. Select the product from the list. You can add more than one product.

  6. Save changes. When the product is added to the shopping cart, the customer can choose which of the free products they want to add to their order.
