How do I add a free product when a customer buys another product?

 Freebies is an Add-On. If you don't see them when viewing a product you can install the Add-on.

You can automatically add a free product to the customer's shopping cart when they select a product. This can be done two ways:

  1. Using the Freebies feature which this article covers or
  2. using the Discounts & Coupons feature.

Freeies has the benefit of displaying the free product(s) the customer will choose from when viewing the product details.

To add free products to a product:

  1. Go to Products > View All Products.
  2. Select the product you want to change.
  3. Scroll down to the Freebies section.
  4. Click on the field under Add Related Product and enter either the product SKU or part of the product name. A list of the products that match what you have entered.
  5. Select the product from the list. You can add more than one product.
  6. Save the changes.



The product will appear on the right. If you want to remove a product click on the red cross.

When the product is added to the shopping cart, the customer can choose which of the free products they can add to their order.
