Can I recommend related products to my shoppers (up selling and cross selling)?

You can increase purchase amounts and basket sizes by utilising the cross selling or up selling feature which is built into Neto.

These products will appear on the product level in your webstore and ebay product listings (if installed).

What’s the difference?

Upselling is a way to increase money spent on a particular item; buy a more expensive version of the same product type or add warranties/features that relate to the product the customer is interested in.

Cross-selling is to increase basket size by interesting the customer with more products from other categories.

Getting Started

Before you get started, you will have to install the free Cross Sell Products add-on from the Add-on Store (under Product Management section).

This process can also be done in bulk using the data import wizard, however for the purpose of this exercise, we will show you how to do this for a single product.

  1. From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Products > View Products and select a product you wish to edit.

  2. Scroll down to either the Cross-sell Products tab or Upsell Products tab.

  3. Add products to the search field. You can use parent or kitted products in this section as well if you wish.

  4. Press Save.

Here is an example of how it looks on your webstore. This will change depending on the theme you are using.

Upsell products can also be shown at checkout by turning on the configuration in your Web store settings.

  1. From the Neto dashboard, go to Setup & Tools > All settings & tools.

  2. Under the Web Store tab, click Webstore Settings.

  3. Scroll to the bottom and tick the option “Display upsell page before checkout”.

  4. Press Save.
