As an alternative to adding images to an item one at a time from the product page, you can bulk upload images from a .zip file. You can upload both your main and alternative images this way.
For example, if you are uploading an image for a Black Ipod Nano and the SKU is called IPODNB then save the image as IPODNB.jpg or IPODNB.gif.
In this example I’m uploading 2 products (let’s call the SKU’s Test1 and Test2) which consists of a main image and 3 alternative images. I would have my folder structure like this:
Folder Name: Main
Folder Name: Alt_1
Folder Name: Alt_2
Folder Name: Alt_3
From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Setup & tools > All setttings & tools.
Under the Import & Export tab, click Import Images.
You will be shown a list of upload locations. To bulk upload images to any of the locations click on the location name. You will then be taken to a bulk upload page for that image type.
Browse and upload the appropriate .zip folder: i.e. main images are uploaded to Product Images, alt_1 to Alt 1 Images, etc.
The system will map the images to their correct products via the SKU. Depending on number of images uploaded and the resizing and optimisation required, uploading may take anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes to process so don’t panic if you don’t see the images straight away.
