How do I add a content / information page to my web shop



All e-commerce websites require a set of default information pages. These include an About Us page, Privacy Policy, Security Policy and Returns Policy. We have gone ahead and set these up for you however you can edit these system generated content pages using the web interface.

To edit an information page

  1. From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Webstore > Web Page.


  2. Select the page you want to change by clicking on the page name.

  3. Scroll down to the Content section and use the inbuilt WYSIWYG Editor to add your page content.



  4. Save your changes.

Your changes will take immediate effect on your web shop.

To add a new information page

The intuitive web interface makes adding your own information pages simple, no matter your computer skill level.

  1. From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Webstore > Web Page.


  2. Click Add New button on the top right hand side.

  3. Enter a page Name and your Page Content using the inbuilt WYSIWYG Editor to add your page content and click Continue and Save.

  4. You can now add this page to show in your Menus by going to the Neto dashboard and navigating to Webstore > Menus and clicking on the menu you wish to add the new page to.

What about other types of content?

You can create your own content types over and above the content types that are already installed on your system. You can add any number of pages under each content type. The default content types are:

  • Blog Posts
  • Brands
  • Buying Guides
  • Information Pages
  • Product categories

Adding a new content type

  1. From the Neto dashboard, navigate to Setup & Tools > All settings & tools

  2. Click the Control Panel tab and click Content Types Manager



  3. Click Add New to add a new content type.



  4. Give you content type a Name and Unique Code. The Unique Code is a identifier for this content type. You can use letters, numbers, hyphen and underscore characters in the code.

  5. In the Fields visible in CPanel section, you can select and name which fields you want to appear when editing a page with this content type. Uncheck the fields you don’t need and you can also change their names.



  6. Click on the Save button.

  7. Below are some examples of different content types other businesses have created:

    • Recipes
    • Support Articles
    • FAQ
    • Training Guides
    • Customer Testimonials
    • Additional product category trees
