Your own payment gateway

In order to accept credit or debit card payments directly from eBay checkout, you must have an internet merchant account set up with your bank or financial institution and you'll need a payment gateway account with one of the eBay approved providers.

Select your payment gateway provider from Payflow or CyberSource, then provide your gateway merchant login information. You'll also need to provide a valid credit card, so eBay can test and confirm that your account is set up to receive payments.

Provide a credit card to verify your account

To complete your payment gateway account setup, we will need a valid credit card. We will run a $1 authorisation against this credit card to verify that your payment gateway account is valid, and is correctly configured to process payments from eBay checkout. This is only an authorisation; no charges will be applied to your credit card.

Remember, you must provide a credit card that is included in your list of accepted card brands. For example, if you do not accept Discover, do not provide a Discover credit card for this test authorisation.
