Setting up a POS Register (Windows, Mac & iPad)



Neto POS supports selling through multiple registers. Registers are the physical devices in each of your outlets. Each register you sell through, must be set up in your Neto control panel. Once configured in your control panel, you can then set justup the register to its related hardware device.

Adding a new register in your control panel

  1. From the Neto dashboard, select Point of Sale > Manage Registers
  2. Follow on-screen instructions to edit the existing register or to add a new register

The Register Code is the prefix that will be added to the order number for each order placed via Neto POS. If you are are exporting your orders to the desktop version of MYOB (using Neto Sync), make sure the total number of characters for the order number does not exceed 8 characters as it will not be able to export to MYOB.

Note: Prior to setting up a register, please ensure that you have setup your outlets as registers are assigned to outlets as part of the setup process.

Setting up a register on your hardware device

Neto POS supports a range of hardware devices including PC, Mac, Windows Surface and Apple iPad. Check out the full list of recommended hardware here.

Setting up a register on Apple iPad

  1. Ensure your iPad is connected to the internet
  2. Download the official Neto POS Apple iPad App here or search Neto POS in the Apple App Store.
  3. Open the App
  4. The Neto POS register login page will load

  1. Input your Neto store URL (eg: myshopname.neto.com.au)
  2. Input in your username (this is the username you use to login to your Neto control panel)
  3. Input your password (this is the password you use to login to your Neto control panel)
  4. Click Login to Register
  5. The Neto POS register configuration page will load

  1. Select the outlet that this device is located in
  2. Select the register that this device is to be linked to
  3. Click “Complete Setup & Log-in”
  4. The POS sell screen will then load

Note:you will need to have set up your outlets and registers in your Neto Control Panel before completing this step. If you have not completed this yet, you can tap or click on the My register isn’t here button to be taken to the register management section of your control panel.

Setting up a register on a PC, MAC or Windows Surface Tablet

  1. Ensure your device is connected to the internet
  2. Install the latest version of Google Chrome browser on your selected device
  3. Open a new tab in Google Chrome
  4. Enter https://pos.neto.com.au into the address bar and press [enter]
  5. The Neto POS register login page will load

  1. Input your Neto store URL (eg: myshopname.neto.com.au)
  2. Input in your username (this is the username you use to login to your Neto control panel)
  3. Input your password (this is the password you use to login to your Neto control panel)
  4. Click Login to Register
  5. The Neto POS register configuration page will load

  1. Select the outlet that this device is located in
  2. Select the register that this device is to be linked to
  3. Click Complete Setup & Log-in
  4. The POS sell screen will then load
