Neto Protip: An introduction to the new export menu

Have you noticed that from Neto 5.77 onward, the control panel menu has changed a little? There are now a couple of new icons on the right hand side of the menu.

In this protip, we’ll show you how to set up the new Export link (shown in the image below)

This link will allow you to quickly download the lastest file generated by any Export Template. For example, if you send order information to a supplier that will dispatch items on your behalf, you can use this quick link to download the latest file sent to the supplier. Or you could set a template that will generate an excel spreadsheet with a complete list of orders received for the previous day, that you can review the morning after by simply clicking on this menu link.

The link will not appear automatically, you will need to mark an Export to Visible on Export Menu using the below steps.

Step 1 - Drill into any export template by going to View All Export Templates under the Import/Export menu. In this example we will use an Order Export Template

Step 2 - Once drilled into the Export Template set Visible on Export Template to YES and save the changes.

Step 3 - Go back to your dashboard to see the icon appear in the top right of the menu. Hover your mouse over the icon to select the export file you wish to download.

The possibilities are pretty endless so play around and comment below with any usual life hacks you find using the link.
