Product Categories

Product categories are used to organise your products into easy to navigate pages on your web shop. For example if you sell clothing your categories may include shorts, t-shirts and dresses. You can assign products to multiple categories. An easy to navigate category tree can help your customers find exactly what they are looking for quickly.

Go to: Content > Product Category > Add New

Enter a name and select a parent category for the category you are adding. The parent category will determine which category the category you are adding will fall under (its hierarchy). If you want the category you are adding to be a top level category, do not select a parent.

After defining the hierarchy and name of your category, you can add additional information such as a category description, image etc

After you have added a product category, it will appear in your list of categories to add products to.

Note: Depending on your website caching settings, it may take  a few minutes for your category new category to appear on your website front end.
