In this video we will cover how to setup and publish a blog.
To create a blog post, go to:
Content > Blog > Add New
Enter the following information in the available fields:
If you would like the URL to be automatically generated, select the checkbox.
On the right you will see a series of checkboxes.
Be sure to uncheck the box next to Active if you are not ready for your post to be live on your website and click Continue.
You can now upload your content.
In the Content section, you can add your content into the WYSIWYG Editor by typing it in or selecting one of the paste options in the top row of the WYSIWYG Editor, pasting your content into the Paste box and clicking OK.
Using the WYSIWYG Editor, you can: format your text, add links, images, tables, source code and much more. Simply click on the dropdowns or icons and specify or add your details. For example, to add a link, click on the link icon and add your URL under the Link Info tab. If you would like for your link to open in a new window, simply go to Target tab and change your settings in the dropdown and click OK.
Once you have finished adding and formatting your blog post text, scroll down and fill your Short Descriptions. Filling in your subtitle and short description is important as it can be displayed in the header section of your posts.
Now that you have added your short description, it’s time to set your images. Setting your images can allow you to display a featured image in your post and can be used to create an automatically generated thumbnail when you link to your blog post on your social media pages. You also have options to change the quality of the image and add white space if required.
In Related Categories you have the option to associate your blog post to other posts and pages by selecting from the dropdown and clicking the Add button.
If you would like only specific user groups to be able to view the blog post, select the checkboxes that you want this post to be visible to.
In the Template & Design area, you have the option to change the header, footer, body and search templates.
To boost your website and your blog post in search engines, we highly recommend you fill out the SEO section. Fill your SEO page title with the title of your blog post, add your meta keywords, meta description, SEO page heading and even your canonical URL if required.
Once you are ready to publish your post, select the Active checkbox and click Save.
To preview the blog, hover over the Save button and click View On Website.
To view all of your blogs, go to:
