Bringing a bit of Sweden to Australia
Swede turned Sydneysider Sara Lundgren, has a strong passion for interior design. Since moving to Australia, her frustration at the difficulty of finding unique homewares to complete her home, drove her to create and sell timeless homewares.
In 2012, Zakkia Homewares was born. Initially beginning with knobs and hooks, the company has since grown into a much larger and diverse homewares range – producing two homewares collections annually.
Room to grow
As their first ecommerce venture, Zakkia were looking for a platform that was flexible and able to grow with their business.
Flexibility around managing different customer groups in particular, was something that was important to them. “We needed a solution that allowed us to tailor content, pricing and offers to unique customer groups,” said Emma.
One of the other challenges was the integration of their shipping and logistics systems with an ecommerce platform. With the Neto platform, Zakkia were able to create their own ecommerce ecosystem and change it as they saw fit.
Sharing their love for good design with the world
Neto has opened a world of possibilities for Zakkia, allowing them to: streamline operations, focus on customer service, and allow them to better market their business.
“Being an Australian business it was comforting to know that Neto is based here, and that their well-trained support team are reachable by phone,” said Emma.
“We have found that Neto allows us the flexibility we were after regarding customisation, integration and client database management more so than our previous ecommerce system.”
“Our favourite Neto integration is with our warehousing platform. We work with a fantastic third party warehouse and having the data immediately available through Neto is a real time saver. We have also integrated a number of our social networks and are currently working on plugging in our accounting and email marketing systems as well.”
“The best thing about Neto is that it is an intuitive and logical platform, making it easy to use. The standard features provided a strong foundation and we are always confident that the support teams are able to help with any special customisations. We also find the reporting capabilities provide insightful data to guide growth strategies.”
What was the end result?
Zakkia have experienced significant growth over the last few years.
“We are consistently seeing order numbers increasing each month and often receive feedback from customers that the website is extremely easy to navigate!” said Emma.
